December

Dear Deep Creek School Family,

As 2017 comes to a close, I realize we have accomplished so much but yes we still have so much more to still do. Do you look at the school year as a glass saying it is half empty or half full? I hope you realize you have filled your students with so much knowledge and experiences already this year! I hope you take some time to reflect on all you have accomplished so far. Yes we Begin with the End in Mind and we keep reaching but reflection is important.

I reflect on a regular basis when colleagues ask me how we do things here or how we have handled things. It is a good feeling when I can respond with all the wonderful ways we collaborate toward Student Success. Also, when James and I finish a drop in or walk through and we can say, "our staff is top notch" or "so in so is killing it"! This has been happening so much. We are thankful for all the hard work you have put in to get where we are today. Below you can see our collective ratings on the Marzano elements scored so far this year. Job well done everyone! Makes us so proud.

Another point of reflection that I want to share is our climate survey. We are definitely headed in a positive direction. I know that we, your leadership team, don't always do everything that you think we should but we hope this is indicative of the fact that you believe we are doing what is best for kids.

Thank you all for what you do each and every day! We hope you have a wonderful holiday season filled with love and joy (and REST)!

Happy Holidays!
Adrienne and James
